Who’s this woman mixing mindfulness with adventure, and a side of green smoothies?
I’m Maura Kelpy. Part Veggie, part Vodka and constantly in search of a balance that works for me. Bio-individuality, baby!
My wellness saga started back in the mid-90s during my frizzy-haired middle school years. The mysterious health issues left me confused and questioning everything. Fast-forward to 2013: I went on a full-blown health rant over a beer with my Dad, and he convinced me to buy the V&V domain name on the spot. (Thanks, Dad.) It took over a decade to make it a thing, but here we are.
Since then, I’ve dived deep into holistic, functional, and Ayurvedic medicine, built a support network, and got curious about what actually makes me feel good. Turns out, it’s not just about what I eat—it’s about how I live. Getting outside? Serious healing powers. Work-life balance? Absolute necessity. Living in a way that aligns with my soul? The dream.
After decades of personal exploration and experimentation, I took things a step further and became a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach. Because once I saw what’s possible, I knew I wanted to help others find their harmony with wellness.
Oh, and let’s be clear—the journey isn’t over, and probably never will be. I’m officially in my 40s and honestly stoked about it (bring it, middle-aged wisdom). But with age comes new health questions and life puzzles.
I’m here for it. Ready to figure out what balance is right for me.
And I’d love to help you do the same with health and wellness coaching.

In case you’re curious about what I mean by “health issues,” I get it. That’s vague. I prefer clarity.
So here’s a list of a few things I’ve been told I have, still have or have recovered from over the years:

How about a few bullet points not so health-related…
I’ve been an independent graphic designer and creative consultant for over 15 years. (Check it out: maurakcreative.com.)
I’ve also completed a 200-hour yoga and meditation teacher certification.
Nature and traveling make me a better person.
I have a serious addiction to dark chocolate...
…and bears. Seriously, I love bears.
Thanks to my AMAZING (and patient) husband, I love mountain biking.
I live in Colorado, but I’m obsessed with the ocean.
Paddleboarding is my new favorite hobby (my ocean compromise).
Snow makes me giddy. But Autumn is my favorite season.
Nordic skiing and snowboarding are my go-tos in winter.
Yoga and pilates are my favorite ways to move my body at home (preferably on a mat not skis, as shown in pic above).
I’m a sucker for a solid romantic comedy. No matter how predictable.
My closet is being overtaken by hoodies. Someone send help. Or more hoodies.
